Hessle Foreshore Platinum Jubilee celebrations

Our Paddock located on Hessle Foreshore beneath the Humber Bridge has previously been used by East Riding of Yorkshire Council and their contractors as a compound during the recent installation of the extensive flood defences in the area,  which is now complete.

In October 2021 we were approached by Hessle Town Council asking if they could use this facility for the Humber Platinum Jubilee Flotilla on 2nd June 2022 in celebration of Her Majesty The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Lovel were more than happy to support the celebrations and allow the use of the field for these purposes.

The day long celebration included a family oriented gala on Hessle Foreshore with bands, fairground rides, professional entertainers, food outlets etc. There was also a flypast of two RAF Battle of Britain planes. The day culminated in the flotilla along the Humber to the Bridge and a firework display.

We heard nothing but praise for the event, something Hessle Town Council and all of the organisers should be very proud off.  We are sure people took away some very happy memories.
