This site was acquired by Lovel Developments with a view to transform the brownfield site at the former home of Teckno Developments, a wallpaper and fabric pattern book manufacturer which was destroyed by fire back in 2009.
An outline planning application was submitted and consequently approved with the intention of regenerating the site for employment uses and a petrol filling station. The Phase 2 application included plans for a drive through coffee shop and further business units.
Lovel Developments put together proposals which met the identified need for better facilities for road users and which brought benefits to the local community without having an adverse impact on the town of Beverley or the nearby villages.
Lovel Developments expect the drive-through coffee shop to create between 20 and 30 full-time equivalent jobs, with more employment to be generated by the business units, which provide space for light industrial use, storage and distribution.
Further details will be revealed soon about the opportunities which will be presented by the filling station, convenience store, and associated uses.
